Lewek Inspector Launched in Turkey

Turkish Cemre Shipyard last week hosted a launching ceremony for the hull of the “Lewek Inspector” Diving Support Vessel.

At the ceremony, Forland Shipping CEO Arne Magnus Johnsen cut the ribbon with an axe, sending the hull into water.

The vessel, ordered by Forland Shipping from Havyard Group last year, will now go to Norway, where it will be outfitted at Havyard’s Leirvik yard.

The  110.00 m long and 22.00 m wide vessel will, after the outfitting is completed, start its contract with Singapore’s EMAS AMC. The five-year long contract is expected to start in August 2013. The estimated value of the contract is $120 million.
