Murmansk Branch ISO 9001:2008 Certified

Rosmorport’s Murmansk Branch has successfully undergone certification of the branch quality management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001:2008.

The field of activities under certification were the Murmansk branch’s services with the use of the Kola Bay vessel traffic system, including: information service of the vessels; control over the navigation and vessel location in anchoring areas; navigation arrangement and regulation, and navigation assistance.

The quality management system of the Murmansk Branch was assessed by auditors of Certification Association “Russian Register”.

During the assessment the experts reviewed the operational processes of the branch’s VTS divisions, and also visited a number of facilities of the Kola Bay VTS, such as the VTS Central Post, the Mishukovo automated radiotechnical post, and the Obzor radio locator post situated in two cablets to the north from Cape Lagerny.

As a result of the assessment the Murmansk Branch quality management system was found to be in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 in the designated fields of activities and, according to the established procedure, the branch received a certificate dated April 17, 2014, No. 14.0333.026, valid for three years.
