Repaired Oil Tanker ‘Impros’ Departs CIC Changxing

The crude oil tanker “Impros” successfully departed CIC Changxing shipyard in late May, 2013 after receiving much-needed repairs.. The main work scope was routine dry-docking items, approximate 60 tons steel renewal and near 20,000 square meters ballast tanks hydro-blasting, etc.

The vessel, with LOA 244 meters and moulded breadth 39.4 meters, is managed by a reputable Greek shipping company. This was the second cooperation between this owner and CIC Changxing shipyard. The attending superintendents of the vessel went onboard several days before vessel’s entry into the shipyard, in order to re-check all the repair items.

The production and commercial department of the shipyard arranged periodic thematic meeting, discussed & analyzed work performance and enhanced manpower & facilities to ensure good project progress & quality.
