Established in 2004, Film-Ocean owns and operates a fleet of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) utilized in the oil and gas, offshore wind and waterways sectors for underwater inspection, intervention, and survey.

Stapem said that the acquisition of Film-Ocean supported the company’s long-term plans for growth in new and existing markets, with a particular focus on the offshore windfarm sector.

Jean-Marc Gerber, general manager of Stapem Offshore, said: “As a great addition to our existing ROV services, the move enables us to provide a wider range of technical and innovative ROV solutions to better serve customers, in both oil and gas and renewable markets.”

Scott Jenney, CEO of Film-Ocean, added: “Film-Ocean has enjoyed tremendous success in our market, and we are excited to continue our journey with this company.”
