Statoil keeps PSV Rem Eir for another year

Norwegian oil firm Statoil Petroleum has declared its option with compatriot shipping company Remøy Shipping and secured contract on Rem Eir vessel for yet another year.

The owner of the vessel said on Tuesday that the contract is made on market based terms and conditions. It will be the fourth consecutive year of operation for the vessel with Statoil and there are two remaining optional years left.

The Rem Eir is a large LNG-fueled platform supply vessel delivered from Kleven Shipyard in November 2014 and has since then served Statoil in the North Sea with operations primary from the base in Florø.

The vessel, of a VS 4412 DF PSV design, is 92,50 m long and 20,00 m wide with a deck capacity of 1080 m2. It was designed by Wartsila Ship Design Norway.
