The Netherlands: Dockwise COO Calls It Quits

Following his notice to the Group Board, Rob Strijland (1949) will retire as Chief Operating Officer effective June 1, 2011, Dockwise announced. Apart from the fact that Mr. Strijland wishes to develop other interests in the maritime industry, he will continue to assist Dockwise in a consulting capacity, with the construction and completion of the new build “Type-0” vessel, enabling Dockwise to continue to benefit from his knowledge and experience.

André Goedée, Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are grateful to Rob for his special contribution to the growth and development of Dockwise over recent years. We are pleased to be able to retain his services for the “Type-0″ project. No doubt we will continue to use his services, but meanwhile he leaves with our very best wishes for his future career.”
