UK: TGS Expands 3D Multi-Client Survey in Faroe Shetland Basin

TGS commences expansion of a 3D multi-client survey covering 2,000 km2 in the Faroe Shetland Basin spanning the UK Faroe median line.

TGS has previously conducted a multi-client 3D survey in the Faroe-Shetland Basin which covered 2,500 km2 west of the British Isles over quads 6004, 204 and 205 and was acquired in partnership with PGS.

The seismic data was acquired by the PGS Ramform Viking towing 12 X 6,000 m with 75 m separation and utilized PGS’ GeoStreamer® Technology. Data processing  was performed by both TGS and PGS.
