USA: CGGVeritas Appoints New Vice President of Operations

CGGVeritas has appointed Tim Brooks as Vice President of Operations, North America for the Land Division.

Mr. Brooks joined CGGVeritas on August 1, 2011 and will assume responsibility for the Land acquisition organization in North America. He will be based in Houston, Texas.

With more than 25 years of experience in the seismic industry, Mr. Brooks brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to CGGVeritas that will aid in the strategic growth of operations within Canada, Alaska and the continental United States. Mr. Brooks rejoins the company after spending four years in senior operational management positions, most recently with Tidelands Geophysical.

Mr. Brooks has an extensive background in crew and operations management and was General Manager for Veritas DGC for more than 10 years. Prior to this, Mr. Brooks served as Operations Manager for Schlumberger Geco-Prakla.
