Volstad Extends Bibby Topaz Hire

Bibby Offshore and Volstad Seismic have agreed to a long-term extension to the charter party for the diving support vessel (DSV) Bibby Topaz.

According to Volstad’s Oslo Stock Exchange filing on Tuesday, the terms and conditions of the extended charter arrangement reflect the current market environment and are based on a mutual sharing of risk and reward.

The new contract sees the charter for the vessel extended until December 31, 2019.

Bibby’s multi-role diving support vessel Bibby Topaz was built in 2007. The vessel is 106.60m long and 22m wide.

It is used for ROV operations, subsea installation works, spoolpiece tie-ins, umbilical and flexible flowline installation, geotechnical and worksite survey, module handling, and subsea crane operations.
