MPS is looking to expand its team with three new positions up for grabs – contracts lead, testing engineer, and project manager.

As contracts lead for MPS, the successful candidate will support the company’s project delivery teams in leading the procurement management process for key work packages and contracts, and taking lead responsibility for the contracts management process.

According to MPS, the individual will initially assist the project manager for the company’s megawatt-scale demonstrator project.

Another position open for applications at MPS is for a tank testing engineer who would join its offshore renewable energy design and development department.

Working within the design and development team, the successful candidate will be engaged on all aspects of small-scale testing projects, supporting the existing team, including prototype design, assembly, commissioning, testing and data analysis.

The tank test programs within MPS are a core part of the company’s activities and are used to inform decisions and designs at all scales and levels of development.

Also, MPS is looking to recruit an experienced project manager to establish and ultimately deliver pre-commercial farm arrays of under 30MW total capacity for the deployment of the company’s PelaFlex (floating offshore wind) and PelaGen (wave energy converter) devices.

The successful candidate will work closely with both the in-house team, external contractors, farm owners (where appropriate), stakeholders and funders to ensure that the pre-commercial farms come to fruition.

MPS has developed a modular and flexible floating platform technology that can be configured to harness wind and wave energy or as a combined solution at grid scale.

The company recently secured £3.5 million in grant funding from the UK Government to further develop its floating platform technology and wave energy converter.
