The contract is for the subsea umbilicals risers and flowlines (SURF) and the gas export pipeline (GEP) for the Abadi LNG project.

Inpex’ unit, Inpex Masela is currently undertaking pre-FEED studies for the Abadi field development in the Masela Block, in the Arafura Sea.

The studies are based on an onshore concept and are being conducted under the supervision of the Indonesia Government Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas).

Under the terms of the contract, Chiyoda and Synergy will provide Inpex with various engineering, safety and cost studies, as well as the development of the future FEED scope of work, as a pre-FEED package for the SURF and GEP facilities.

Xodus Group and Subsea 7 have been nominated as subcontractors for the technical leadership, as well as specific studies.
