Seaway7 head to take over as Subsea7 CEO retires

Subsea7’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Evans will retire as of July after having been with the company for 40 years, and will be succeeded by the current Seaway7 CEO.

Evans has worked for Subsea7 and its predecessor companies for 40 years, having previously been Subsea7 COO for 14 years and CEO since 2020. He will retire from the CEO position on June 30.

Stuart Fitzgerald, who has been CEO of Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, since 2022, will take over the role from July 1. He joined Subsea7 in 1998 and has held a number of senior management positions, including EVP Commercial and EVP Strategy and Alliances.

Fitzgerald is also proposed as the CEO of Subsea7 within the future Saipem7 upon completion of the proposed merger with Saipem.
