Norwegian energy data and intelligence company TGS has wrapped up a three-year GeoStreamer X (GSX) acquisition and processing campaign in the Norwegian Sea.

The campaign delivered the final Dual Azimuth products to clients, with the dataset providing a modern, high-resolution foundation for development, ILX and TLX exploration activities across one of Norway’s most prospective offshore regions, TGS said.

With the completion, the Norwegian company said it now offered over 21,500 square kilometers of high-quality GSX multi-client seismic data available for licensing.

“Completing the GSX campaign marks an important milestone for our Norwegian Sea portfolio,” said David Hajovsky, Executive Vice President, Multi-Client at TGS. “This high-quality Dual Azimuth data will support our clients’ near-field exploration and development decisions for years to come.”

TGS recently reported that the 1998-built Ramform Vanguard was set to kick-start a new acquisition campaign in mid-March with an oil & gas site survey, as part of the upcoming European summer season, following its winter-stack period.

After this, the 86.2-meter-long vessel will continue performing two offshore wind contracts, extending the acquisition activities well into the third quarter.
