While disclosing seven new contract extensions with Petrobras in Brazil, DOF explains that five of its Brazilian-flagged anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, all with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) on board.

The ships that had their current contracts extended until Q1 2027 are Skandi Fluminense, Skandi Paraty, Skandi Angra, Skandi Urca, and Skandi Iguaçu.

The new four-year contracts for the five vessels that were signed and announced in May-June 2025 with original planned commencement in Q1 2026 have had start-ups postponed until Q1 2027 with all other terms and conditions unchanged. As a result, the new contracts will run until Q1 2031.

Aside from this, Petrobras and DOF agreed to extend the two current research/resupply vessel (RSV) contracts for the ships, Skandi Chieftain and Skandi Olympia, with duration until the end of 2026.

The beginning of the new four-year contracts for the two vessels, signed and announced in October 2025, will be postponed until the start of 2027.

These assignment extensions come after three pipelay support vessels (PLSVs), under the control of a joint venture of DOF and TechnipFMC, scored contract extensions with the Brazilian energy giant.
