Rosneft: Sechin remains CEO for five more years

The Board of Directors of Russia’s largest oil company, Rosneft, has extended the contract of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Igor Sechin. 

The Board approved the contract with Igor Sechin for the term of five years. The appointment is effective from May 24, 2015.

According to Rosneft, the terms of the contract are determined by the company’s Payments and Compensations Standard for top managers.

Sechin was a Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation from 2008 until 2012 and Chairman of the Rosneft Board of Directors from 2004 till 2011.

He has held the position of Rosneft President and Chairman of its Management Board since May 2012.
