SeaBird said on Monday that the survey was expected to start in the first quarter of 2020.

According to the seismic company, the OBN survey is expected to last between 60 and 90 days.

Earlier this month, in its third-quarter financial report, SeaBird said it had seen a rising demand in OBN seismic and early cyclical growth in 2D/3D demand.

The company also said that the OBN market was expected to be a core driver of growth with tendering activity for OBN work in regions such as West Africa, Brazil, and the Gulf of Mexico, showing a marked improvement from previous quarters.

Also, SeaBird recently appointed Gunnar Jansen as its interim CEO after Hans Petter Klohs left the chief executive role.
