Statoil Hires Metas for LoVe Upgrade

Bergen-based Metas has been awarded a contract from Statoil for the upgrade of the LoVe ocean observatory.

The Lofoten-Vesterålen Cabled Ocean Observatory (LoVe) is a Norwegian infrastructure for marine research, monitoring and subsea technology development.

The contract will cover an upgrade of LoVe, including installation of two satellites on the observatory, Metas informed.

 

The LoVe observatory was established by Statoil and Institute of Marine Research (IMR) in 2013.
