‘Subsea industry veteran’ joins DOF Subsea in COO role

Norwegian subsea firm DOF Subsea has appointed Raymond P. Semple as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective October 23, 2017.

As COO, Semple will have the entire operational responsibility for DOF Subsea on a strategic level, and be responsible for the company’s day-to-day operating activities, the subsea company said on Thursday.

According to the statement, Semple, the subsea industry veteran, is an experienced leader with more than 26 years’ involvement in the oil and gas industry. He holds a Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK.

Semple’s career spans senior management roles in the subsea sector including project and general management, engineering, construction, partnerships, acquisitions and internal capital expenditure projects. Prior to joining DOF, Semple was COO of Technip North America’s Subsea and Offshore Business Units responsible for all subsea and offshore activities in the North America Region.

Semple joined Technip via Stena Offshore in 1991 and has worked continuously in the Subsea segment, including as the COO of Technip Brazil’s Subsea Business Unit.
