UK: Encode Secures New Contracts with EnerMech

Encode Software Solutions, a Microsoft software consultancy with offices in Aberdeen and Glasgow, has secured £180,000 worth of contracts with EnerMech, the international provider of mechanical services solutions to the energy services sector. The firm also achieved a first year turnover of £767,000.

Encode has closed off its first trading year by winning three contracts with EnerMech for the supply of a bespoke HR software system, an asset management system for the Wood Group PSN arm of the business and finally the replacement of EnerMech’s existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

The company has experienced a highly successful 2011 to date with several significant contract wins in mainland UK and Northern Ireland as well as winning its first international contract with DHS Oil International based in UAE.

Gero Krueger, ERP implementation manager at EnerMech, said: “The team at Encode impressed us with their performance in the design and implementation of our tailored HR module. In our Wood Group PSN Equipment Rental project we have learnt to highly appreciate their Dynamic Platform solution and have subsequently awarded them with a contract for the implementation of this product across all of EnerMech’s business lines and global regions.

“It is Encode’s professionalism, creativity and strict adherence to targets that makes them our contractor of choice. The further development of our ERP system will have to keep up with EnerMech’s growth and ambitions and we believe Encode is well positioned for this task.”

EnerMech operations director, Phil Bentley, added: “A fundamental part of EnerMech’s Safer Smarter Solutions philosophy is that the use of technology is at the forefront of our service delivery. We are particularly pleased that Encode is a local enterprise and that EnerMech’s customers will benefit from this development and their ongoing expertise.”

Mike McLeish, managing director of Encode, said: “Our oil and gas specific software Dynamic Platform, which EnerMech has invested in, was developed by Encode’s team of consultants in response to the needs of our clients. The system allows companies to fully control their day to day operations covering everything from quotations and sales of equipment, resources and rentals as well as manufacturing, procurement, HR, through to logistics, delivery and invoicing.

“We are thrilled that our strong first year culminated in contract wins with EnerMech, as we have built an excellent relationship with them since Encode commenced trading. It has been a good year for us, between expanding into Glasgow and growing to a team of 10 with the recent appointment of senior business consultant, Craig Bruce.

“Achieving a turnover of £767,000 was fantastic for us and we look forward to expanding on this success over the next year, as we build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients in the UK and Ireland, whilst continuing to grow internationally,” he continued.

An Escape Group company, Encode Software Solutions is a specialist in Microsoft Dynamics NAV for the oil and gas and construction sectors. The company supports firms with turnovers from £1m to those in excess of £100million.
