Veripos Receives 5-Year Contract from Arkstar

Veripos, leading suppliers of high-precision GNSS positioning for offshore applications, has been awarded a five-year contract for provision of services to specialist support vessels operated globally by Arkstar Ship Management of Singapore, a subsidiary of Hoe Leong Corporation.

First ships to be provided with satellite positioning services are Arkstar Voyager, a 69m platform supply vessel and Eagle 3, a 57m anchor-handling tug supply vessel. Both will use VERIPOS Ultra2 Precise Point Positioning (PPP) service utilising GPS and Glonass networks to ensure all system errors are removed or minimised by direct calculation, precise modelling or estimation. Associated hardware being provided comprises proprietary LD5-GG2 integrated mobile receivers. Identical services and equipment will also be provided to other Arkstar vessels in due course.

Commenting on the contract award, Raymond Wong, Veripos Vice-President for Asia-Pacific, said it signified the company’s continuing progress as a leading supplier of quality GNSS positioning services for offshore applications throughout Asia-Pacific regions and beyond.

Arkstar Ship Management, is a company specialising in offshore vessel charters including crewing, maintenance, marine services.
