ConocoPhillips takes Solstad PSV on 4-year charter

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has secured a long-term contract for the platform supply vessel Normand Leader.

The LNG-powered, 89.6 meters long vessel previously known as REM Leader has been hired by ConocoPhillips Skandinavia.

The contract has a duration of four years, with further three yearly options. It will start in April 2018. Solstad said the commercial terms of the contracts are confidential.

This is the second contract award for Solstad in a short space of time. The company last week announced contract extensions for four of its PSVs set to start in May and June.

The contracts consist of a combined total of ca 500 vessel days which are split between the vessels “Normand Flipper”, “Normand Aurora”, “Normand Skude” and “Normand Naley,” the company said.

Also, in Solstad-related news, the company on Thursday sold the 1996-built PSV Normand Carrier.
