Havila said on Thursday that the contract extensions were for the Havila Aurora and Havila Fortune PSVs from Axxis Geo Solutions (AGS).

Namely, the Havila Aurora will now stay with AGS until the end of May, while the Havila Fortune will remain with the company until mid-June.

According to the shipowner, the extensions include two three-month optional periods for each vessel.

The initial contract for the Havila Fortune was awarded in late May 2018 with AGS hiring the vessel for a firm six-month period with additional extension options following the expiration of the charter.

In mid-December 2018, AGS exercised its first extension option for the Havila Fortune which meant the vessel would stay with the company until the end of June 2019.

AGS then again extended the deal for the vessel in early May 2019. At that time, the company also hired the Havila Aurora for a firm period of six months.

It is also worth stating that AGS received an extension for a contract in the Middle East on Thursday.

Havila also said on Thursday that it had entered into a contract with a major UK oil company for the Havila Borg PSV. The new contract will start in June for a period of 40 days plus possible extension options.
