Solstad said on Thursday that Petrobras had declared its options to extend the contracts for the two AHTS vessels, Far Scout and Far Santana, with one year.

Both contracts are then firm to the third quarter of 2020. The vessels will support Petrobras operations in Brazilian waters.

The 2000-built AHTS Far Santana was previously awarded a contract extension by Petrobras in May 2018, which made the contract firm until 2Q 2019.

Far Santana is equipped with Fugro’s FCV Work Class ROV suitable for 3.000m water depth.

The Far Scout was awarded a one-year firm contract by Petrobras in April 2018 with an option to extend the contract with a further one-year period.

The Far Scout was built in 2001 by the Langsten yard. It is an 80-meter-long and 18-meter-wide AHTS which can accommodate 35 people.
